All the rodeo contestants begin to gather by the main gate as the sun goes down at the Double M Rodeo. Riders bunch into small groups as the hands work with owners Wayne and Cindy to keep the rodeo on track and running smoothly.
You have to stay very aware as a photographer at this point. These horses are fast and can back up over you without any warning. I have no idea what a horse weighs but it's like a wall of concrete if they hit you. My luck ran out last year; I was barely brushed but still twisted up my knee and was dazed for a bit. These horses are no joke.
