I live just a few miles from the Saratoga Battlefield where our forefathers turned the tide of the war toward victory for the rebellious colonies. The park is fantastic and there are a variety of hikes and drives so we try to make use of this fantastic place.
My wife and I took the Wilkinson four mile trail which is our favorite hike. The trail goes through open fields and deep wooded areas. Wild apple trees and Butternuts abound along with all sorts and sizes of animals. You are bound to run into a deer and maybe a hawk or two as you hike the trail.
